AVEDON, RICHARD (born 1923), American fashion photographer, died following a brain hemorrhage, in San Antonio, Texas, on October 1, 2004 (Vol. 1).

BELLOW, SAUL (born 1915), American novelist and Nobel Prize winner, died in Brookline, Massachusetts, on April 5, 2005 (Vol. 2).
