Act 2, Scene 4: Levatch delivers his letter to Helena and Parolles enters with the news that Bertram is being called away on urgent business.  He then tells her to make excuses to the King for leaving so quickly and that she is return to his mother's house.  Helena agrees to do whatever Bertram wants.

Act 2, Scene 5: Lafew tries to convince Bertram that he shouldn't listen to Parolles.  Parolles then enters and informs Bertram that Helena is doing everything he told her.  Helena then enters and Bertram gives her a letter to take to his mother.  She tries to get him to kiss her but he avoids it, telling her he doesn't have time.  They leave, with Bertram intending to not come back to her.
