Act 4, Scene 2

Tranio (as Lucentio) asks Hortensio if he thinks that Bianca loves anyone but him.  Hortensio pulls him aside and they spy on her and Lucentio (as Cambio).  They are kissing and talking of love.  Hortensio gets angry and declares he will no longer court the girl.  He intends to marry a wealthy widow who has been in love with him.  After Hortensio leaves to see Petruchio, Bianca comes to Tranio, and the three together rejoice that she has lost him as a suitor.  While they are talking, Biondello enters and informs them that a man was coming who could possibly play the part of Lucentio's father, Vincentio.  They stop the man, who is a merchant, and tell him what they want him to do.  He knows of Vincentio and agrees to play the part.
