At 10 AM on April 18, according to the position of the sun, the Innkeeper host asks the Sergeant-at-law to tell the next tale.  The Sergeant-at-arms, or lawyer, politely thanks the Innkeeper and humbles himself to the literary genius of Chaucer the character before he begins his story.
