Uncle Tom's Cabin: Metaphor Analysis

Jim Crow- name for a black person who was a singer, clown, minstrel.  The term was later used in southern laws that kept black citizens from rights such as voting. 
Uncle Tom's Cabin- a place that represented freedom to the slaves that George Shelby freed because of Uncle Tom's life.
