The Prologue of the Wife of Bath's Tale

Experience is better than book learning regarding the area of marriage.  The wife of Bath has had at least five husbands, starting from when she was 12 years old.  She questions many biblical passages about the nature of marriage, widows, and virginity, and adds a seasoned flair to them. The Innkeeper asks her to tell the next story, and she agrees.
